How much does a website cost for a roofer in the UK?
Updated 1 October 2026 · 4 minute read
Roofers pay more for leads than almost any other trade. That changes the maths on a website: it doesn't have to win many jobs to be the cheapest source of work you have.
The price, briefly
A do-it-yourself site on Wix starts around £108 a year; designers usually charge £1,500 and up. The full comparison and sources are in our website cost guide. Roofers can measure it against a day on the tools.
Less than a day's work
Checkatrade's 2026 price guides say roofers typically charge £280 to £360 a day, and most roof repairs cost £110 to £160 per square metre. A single day's work more than covers a £199 website.
What roofers pay for leads
From Local Ladder's UK Trade Lead Cost Tracker (verified 30 September 2026):
| Source | Roofing cost |
|---|---|
| Google Ads, "roofers near me" | £3.75 to £17.93 per top-of-page click |
| MyBuilder roofing leads | £15 to £60 per lead |
| Checkatrade | £30 a month (Approved) or from £59 a month (Growth), plus VAT, 12-month contracts |
Ten Google Ads clicks at the top of that range is nearly £180, and clicks aren't calls. A website that brings in a couple of roofing jobs a year has paid for itself.
What a roofing website needs
- Separate routes for "leaking now" and "planning a new roof".
- A page for each job: leaks, re-roofs, flat roofs, chimneys, guttering and fascias.
- Lots of real photos, including before-and-afters.
- A WhatsApp button so customers can send photos of the problem.
- Your reviews, years trading and any genuine guarantees.
Where we fit
We build roofers' websites for £199 once, with your domain and a year's hosting, then £50 a year from year two, with no contract. That's £299 over three years, less than many single months of roofing leads. Every site has a "leaking now or planning ahead?" split, a send-us-photos WhatsApp button and a page per job. We build it before you pay. See our websites for roofers.
See what yours would look like
We'll build a website for your business from your Google listing, free. You only pay £199 if you want to keep it.
