Who we are

Hi-Vis Web builds websites for tradespeople. You can contact us using the form on our home page.

What we collect

What you give us in the preview form: your name, mobile number, business name, trade, town or postcode, and whether you have a web address.
Information your business already publishes: for example your Google Business listing (name, services, area, opening hours, rating and review count). We use this to build your preview.
Photos and details you send us if you decide to go ahead.

Why we use it

To build your preview website and send you the link.
To contact you about that preview and, if you go ahead, to set up, host and look after your website.

We rely on our legitimate interest in offering our service to businesses, and on taking steps at your request before entering a contract with you. We don't sell your details, and we don't use them for anything else.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the service, such as our website hosting provider and the domain registrar we use to register your web address. They process it on our behalf.

How long we keep it

If you don't go ahead, we delete your details and your preview within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep what we need for as long as we host your website, and for as long as the law requires for our accounts.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including your preview website. Just email us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
