What must a landlord do about gas safety?
Landlords must have gas appliances and flues checked every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered engineer, keep a record, and give tenants a copy within 28 days of the check or before they move in.
What happens if an appliance fails the check?
We'll explain the problem and, where there's a safety risk, make the appliance safe. We'll then give you a quote for the repair so it can be put right.
Do I need to be there for the check?
