The standard we work to

It's all in the detail.

Customers look closely at tiling. Corners, cuts and grout lines are what make a bathroom look expensive, so that's where we take our time.

How it works

Measured, planned, then tiled.

Most tiling problems start before the first tile goes on. We spend time on the set-out so the finish looks right.

1

Send the details

A photo, rough sizes and the tiles you like. The planner above does most of it for you.

2

We measure up

We check the walls and floor, talk through layout and cuts, and give you a written quote.

3

Prep & tile

Boards, tanking and levelling first. Then tiling, set out from the centre so cuts are even.

4

Grout & seal

Grouted, cleaned off and sealed with silicone. The room left clean and ready to use.

Why Square Edge

What's behind the tiles matters most.

A shower can look perfect and still leak into the wall behind. Here's what goes on before the tiles, in plain words.

Set out from the middle

No thin slivers in the corners or at the ceiling line.

Dust under control

Cutting done outside or with extraction, and floors protected.

Honest about the walls

If a wall isn't fit to tile, we tell you before we start.

Works with your fitter

Happy to tile for bathroom and kitchen fitters, to their programme.

Inside a shower wall

Grout & silicone to keep water on the surface
Tanking: a waterproof membrane, taped at every joint

Questions

Asked a lot.

Can you tile over existing tiles?

Sometimes, if the old tiles are firmly stuck and the wall can take the weight. In showers and on floors we usually take them off, so we can check and waterproof what's underneath.

Do you supply the tiles?

Most customers choose their own, and we're happy to advise on what suits the room. We'll tell you how much to order and what adhesive and grout you need.

Do you do the waterproofing for showers?

Yes. Showers and wet rooms get backer boards and a tanking membrane before any tiles go on. It's the part you can't see, and the part that matters most.

Can you tile over underfloor heating?

Yes, with a flexible adhesive and the right preparation. The heating should be tested before tiling and left off while the adhesive cures.
