Will solar work on my roof?
South, east and west facing roofs all work, and north-facing roofs can sometimes too. Shade, roof condition and space matter as much as direction. We'll look properly and tell you honestly.
Do I need planning permission?
Most home roof systems in England don't, but there are exceptions, such as listed buildings and some conservation areas. We'll check for your property before anything goes ahead.
Can I get paid for the power I export?
Yes, through the Smart Export Guarantee. Energy suppliers pay for exported power when the system is properly certified, and we hand over the paperwork you need to apply.
Is a battery worth it?
It depends on when you use power. If you're out during the day, a battery lets you use your solar power in the evening. We'll talk it through, and you can always add one later.
What happens on install day?
Scaffolding usually goes up a day or two before. We fit the panels, run the cables, fit the inverter and any battery, then test and switch on. We'll show you the app before we leave.
